TAV Operation Services and SOF Connect signed a contract for the building and management of new business lounges at Sofia Airport

TAV Operation Services, has signed a contract with SOF Connect – the operator of Vasil Levski Sofia Airport – for the construction and management of two new business lounges at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the airport. 

TAV OS, a subsidiary of TAV Airports and a member of Groupe ADP, will manage the business lounges until 2038. Demonstrating its commitment to delivering distinguished guest experiences for the modern traveler, TAV OS will invest in the renovation and redesign of the Primeclass lounges at Sofia Airport – the first to feature the brand’s new look and feel following its rebranding.

New shared business lounges will be available at both terminals in early 2026, welcoming all types of travelers flying with any airline.The lounge space at Terminal 2 will have 540 m² of covered area and 450 m² of terrace providing panoramic views of the runway, and will have a total capacity of 130 passengers. The lifestyle terrace will have a designated smoking area. The business lounge will be accessible to passengers with reduced mobility.In Terminal 1 lounge, with 440 m² and 125 guest capacity, will offer the same memorable high level of comfort and service. 

The new business areas will provide a comfortable and quiet environment for relaxing, business and family travel, away from the noise and congestion of the terminals. They will feature: 

  • A bar with a variety of food and beverages, including local and international specialties 

  • Relaxation area with comfortable furniture and pleasant atmosphere 

  • Business area offering both open co-working spaces and private silence pods for focused work. 

  • Children’s area equipped with games and space for fun 

  • High-speed Wi-Fi 

  • Terrace at Terminal 2 overlooking departing and arriving airplanes 

The lounges will reflect a contemporary aesthetic through redefined lines and thoughtfully curated details that evoke a sense of belonging, all while embracing sustainable design principles and responsible material choices.

The project is a part of the long-term transformation strategy of Vasil Levski Sofia Airport aimed at elevating passenger experience, digitalization and sustainable development.
